KFH-Bahrain achieved 100% improvement in operational efficiency, reduced reporting time by 80%, cut task costs by 90%, and increased compliance accuracy by 92%, becoming the first Islamic bank in the GCC to fully automate regulatory reporting.
Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain), a pioneer in digital Islamic banking, partnered with Codebase Technologies to modernize its regulatory compliance processes. While the bank had previously embraced digital innovation with milestones like the launch of “KFH Jazeel,” legacy systems still burdened its regulatory reporting with inefficiencies, manual processes, and rising compliance costs. To align with the Central Bank of Bahrain’s evolving requirements and boost reporting agility, KFH-Bahrain sought a transformative solution.
Through our Digibanc™ platform, Codebase Technologies delivered the region’s first fully automated regulatory reporting solution for an Islamic bank. Seamlessly integrated with KFH-Bahrain’s existing infrastructure, the platform enabled instant data aggregation, real-time financial insights, and rapid report generation, including CAGR, RISK, and PIRI reports. The entire solution was configured and deployed in under two months, reducing operational overhead and eliminating the errors of manual compliance.
With the new platform, KFH-Bahrain achieved substantial improvements in reporting accuracy, reduced manual processing hours, and strengthened its compliance posture. The bank is now equipped with a future-proof system that adapts to regulatory shifts and sets a new benchmark for Islamic financial institutions across the region. This case study demonstrates how next-generation technology can reshape compliance for modern banking.
As of 2024 KFH-Bahrain (Kuwait Finance House Bahrain) was acquired by Al Salam Bank and is now part of Al Salam Bank. The commercial name of KFH-Bahrain has changed to ASB Finance (formerly Kuwait Finance House Bahrain).
